At 7 p.m., creative talent and world-renowned bassist,
Nik West will utilize her smooth voice and electric bass to deliver an incredible live funk, rock and soul performance that only she could, while local Detroit rock trio The Strange performs at 5:30 p.m., and D. Sorrel & S. World gets the funk going at noon.
Alise King performs at the Cadillac Square Acoustic Stage, noon-2 p.m.
Campus Martius Park will also have an Interactive Art Activity with artist Brian Lewis creating large musical mosaic notes, noon-8 p.m.

The 19presented by MIX 92.3 with support from iHeartMedia Detroit and the American Cancer Society, gets underway at th annual Breast Cancer Walk, Sista Strut Grand Circus Park, 8 a.m.
Grand Valley Charter Gallery – Youth Artist Exhibition features youth artists from 9 metro Detroit schools and over 500 pieces of art, chartered by Grand Valley State University Detroit Center, Campus Martius Park, noon – 8 p.m.
Mammoth Follies presented by Hudson Vagabond Puppets explores the wonders of evolution in an old fashioned revue of original songs, witty jokes, and earth-smashing dances performed by giant dinosaur puppets for the Kidz Show at Campus Martius Park. Following the 1 p.m. performance participants can create Model Magic Dino Sculptures.
Pets can get dressed up and get social for
Grand Circus Park’s very own Dog Party & Parade! A Dog Social from 2:30-3:00 p.m. will get things started, followed by a Dog Parade around East Grand Circus Park from 3:00-3:30 p.m. and a Dog Party from 3:30-4:00 p.m.
Faygo Movie Night in the D at Campus Martius Park closes with a Star Wars Spectacular supported by Honigman and WRCJ 90.9 FM.
The Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra presents “Star Wars & Sci-Phonic Favorites” featuring live, classical renditions of musical scores from a variety of science-fiction favorites at 7 p.m. followed by the screening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at 8 p.m. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character.
Summer Saturday Nights Finale at Capitol Park closes out Detroit’s hottest summer festival with Summer in the City, 7-11 p.m. This end of summer celebration will feature a summer cookout themed menu and samples of refreshing summer cocktails and craft beers. The Infatuations will be playing funk, soul and Detroit rock and roll live. Tickets are required for this event and are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, visit CapitolParkEvents.com.
