There’s More Than Music in the Air

Theres More Than Music in the Air

Being in the entertainment industry, you meet a lot of people and see a lot of faces. You never know who you will meet or who you will make a connection with. When I first met Candi aka “Blue Raspberry,” she visited my radio show for an interview with a group of other people. Live on air she rocked out with her killer voice and gave us a taste of the music she’s put out in the past but we will get to that later. Sweet hearted and full of…

Rock and Roll Breaks Hearts with Scott from Saving Abel

After undergoing two extensive heart surgeries, Scott Barlett, the lead guitarist from rock band Saving Abel, has made a breakthrough recovery with his new pace maker/heart monitor and is feeling new again. Scott’s doctors were able to find the source of what was causing his heart to beat irregularly and burn it off with a special laser. Ready to go back on tour after recovery, Saving Abel will be touring with Puddle of Mud in a Rock collaboration. The tour will start this March, last approximately five to six weeks,…

Detroit’s got that Bass

t money green

Recently, I started working with someone I like to refer as one of Detroit’s All Stars. Repping Detroit all over the world with that funky, funky bass is T Money Green or Tony as his friends call him. I met Tony through a radio station where we both perform our internet podcasts – Tapdetroit.com. We found out we have quite a few things in common and we started working together on a music project. As we get to know each other better, Tony has opened up and he tells me…

Dion Price Press Release

Dion Price Press Release

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, the birthplace of the motor industry, singer-songwriter Dion Price is no stranger to hard work. I love being on the road, performing, perfecting myself as an artist and working with others so I can learn everything I can. Since discovering his love for performing in high school, Dion hasn’t stopped playing in front of audiences across the US (sharing stages with artists including Juicy J, K Camp, August Alsina, Tory Lanez, Omarion, Trina, and TK Kirkland). Dion continues to write and record his reflective R&B-infused pop…

Seven Planes Seven Days

One might think it’s crazy to get up every day and go on an adventure to a foreign land you have never been before and into the unknown. One might be right, that’s exactly what I did. Although I was a little nervous at first, I wanted to test how crazy I really am. Not only did I take many planes spanning several countries, (a different country every day) but I traveled with someone I just had met. It turned out to be one of the best times I’ve ever…

Josie Pace

Josie Pace Battleground

Rising star Josie Pace recently dropped her slamming new single ‘Battleground’ on October the 14th. Battleground is a continuing reminder of the unapologetic rock and roll attitude Detroit is legendary for. From Iggy Pop to Jack White, Josie Pace stirs up ghosts and flashbacks of a late night drive over the Rouge River Bridge as the Motor City industrial machine spits fire and smoke into the sky. At just 22 years old, Josie Pace’s unique sound of grinding synthesizers and smashing drums pulls from the likes of Depeche Mode and IAMX…

Rise to Power – JP ONE

JP ONE has made himself an integral part of Detroit’s music scene. Whether the conversation is about his consistent flow of new material or his controversial and straight forward attitude, he is always somewhere in the mix. Appearing to just fall from the sky almost five years ago, the then 27 year old took the same no nonsense approach that he had in the streets which led to him spending close to nine years in prison. The difference was noticed immediately. While most artists look for a way to get…

When I say “Rock and Roll” You say “Aint Dead”

Kaleido Band

What does it take to be an awesome front woman of an amazing band? I think I may know someone! In a land not so far away in the metro Detroit area lives a group of some of the most talented people I know who go by the name Kaleido. Front woman Christina Chriss, one of the hardest working women around, has been performing music for years; first with other bands and now with Kaleido. She works tirelessly on practicing her art and this lady has pipes that could bring…
